As a professional photographer, married to the man of my dreams, and mother to six amazing kids (three girls and three boys) life felt pretty great. On December 12th, 2014, our world was shattered when post operative bleeding after a tonsillectomy that morning landed our Caleb in the ER.  After fighting and holding on as long as he could, our Bubba was pronounced brain dead on December 17th, 2014, just one day before his third birthday.  This has been the most difficult trial of our lives.  We never could have imagined that a tonsillectomy would have this outcome for our feisty guy, but this is our reality.  Feel free to follow our journey as our family fights to stand in the light and keep his memory alive.  It won’t always be easy, but my hope is that we can all learn something in the process and be better for it. 10991347_456370821179769_7365717505008306603_n

  1. We just lost our 2 yo daughter. We think she had a seizure in her sleep and she died in our bed April 15, 2016. I performed CPR and got her heart back, but she was announced brain dead April 17, 2016. Please contact me. We are struggling and have 3 other children ages 7, 4, and 5 months.
